For LingLong Tire, Global Partner of Real Madrid, we created a TV commercial where Trent Alexander-Arnold, Franco Mastantuono and Brahim Díaz are selected like in a video game and take the wheel of a BMW. Each one drives according to his tire’s strength, from the Bernabéu to Cibeles: specialists on the pitch, specialists on the road.

LingLong Tire is one of the world’s leading tire manufacturers and a Global Partner of Real Madrid. After Greatness Within, the brand wanted to go one step further and put its technology and product range at the centre of the partnership.

01 · The briefing

Three tires, three specialists

A TV commercial in 30″ and 60″ versions with three Real Madrid players, highlighting three tires and their key features: SPORT MASTER for handling and agility, SPORT MASTER C/S for stability and comfort, and SPORT MASTER e for energy efficiency and quietness. Every shot had to feature the BMW cars, with the players inside the scenes, and be reusable for future campaigns.

02 · The challenge

Technology, without the spec sheet.

Talk about technology without turning the spot into a spec sheet. Three products, three players and three features had to fit in one story that feels like Real Madrid, not like a tire catalogue.

Mastantuono: stability and comfort. Trent: efficiency and quietness. Brahim: handling and agility.

03 · The idea

Each position demands a specialist. So does the road.

Every position on the pitch demands a specialist, and so does every challenge on the road. In a LingLong lab, two engineers select a Real Madrid player from a holographic “select player” screen, like in a video game, each one standing on a tire. Once selected, the player takes the wheel of a BMW and drives according to his tire’s strength.

Trent Alexander-Arnold glides past the Bernabéu on SPORT MASTER e: energy efficiency and quietness. Franco Mastantuono stays steady through Cibeles on SPORT MASTER C/S: stability and comfort. Brahim Díaz attacks the curves of a mountain pass on SPORT MASTER: handling and agility.
